Rounds

Updated on April 2, 2024

‘Rounds’ stands as one of our most innovative and forward-thinking functionalities to date. With a keen focus on reducing paper waste, we’re introducing a solution for companies to seamlessly integrate Lanced into their audition processes, removing the need for printing and piling up resumes during your live audition or casting.

With ‘Rounds’, you can schedule multiple audition rounds, moving candidates in Lanced through the entire process with ease. This feature allows you to manage different groups across various times, days, and even locations, before consolidating them into a unified second/third or fourth round.

What sets Rounds apart is its ability to maintain access to each candidate’s application, including showreels, photos, and experiences. Additionally, you can leave notes for your team, ensuring everyone is on the same page and streamlining the decision-making process.

While Rounds is still in its early stages, we’re eager to collaborate with your company and provide support every step of the way. Here’s how to set up Rounds:

Round 1 Is Always Pre-Set #

The first round is determined by your opportunity details/workflow. If you have chosen Timeslots for your audition, your first round will show your Timeslots for Groups or Individuals. If you have chosen a single date for your audition, your first round will show a single date with all invited applicants.

Setup Rounds #

The best thing about Rounds is that you don’t have the set this up when your call goes live. You can wait until the very last minute to add different Round and build your audition/casting process they way you want it. When you are ready to setup Rounds, simply click on ‘Setup Rounds’!

View Rounds #

After you’ve setup your Rounds, they will appear in the Rounds page. By clicking on ‘View Round’ you get access to everyone attending that round.

View Applicants #

By clicking on an applicants you can view their applications, leave comments for your team and select whether they are moving to the next Round or not.

Finishing A Round #

After you have sorted all applicants you can move to the next Round by clicking on ‘Finish Round’ in the left side panel. If you haven’t decided on some candidates, Lanced will provide you with an overview of those still needing a decision. Simply use the buttons to make your choices and then finish the Round.

Those who are invited to the next Round will show up in your next Round and you can start the whole process again.

Note: we believe that Rounds is more off an internal tool for the companies and are looking for more customization within Rounds in the coming months.
